Wardrobe malfunctions can happen at any time!
Red carpet events allow celebrities to shine while looking their best, gaining attention for dazzling looks. Some gain attention for reasons other than their look, like So Youn Jung, who became a hot topic for her nervous and panic-filled appearance at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Others have made headlines for wardrobe malfunctions, both accidental and done on purpose. Here are some of the worst that have happened to Korean celebrities.
1. Kang Sora
While attending the 2012 Busan Film Festival, actress Kang So Ra suffered a wardrobe mishap involving her dress. As she walked the event’s signature blue carpet, the back of her dress ripped open, making her have to hold it closed as she walked the event.
2. Ha Na Gyeong
Actress Ha Na Gyeong has been in recent headlines after being sued for her affair with a married man but was previously known for this wardrobe malfunction. In 2012, while walking the 33rd Blue Dragon Film Awards red carpet, the actress fell, exposing her breast in a move many believed was staged.
3. Kim Se Yeon (2019 Miss Korea)
While attending the 4th Asian Content Awards, a strong breeze nearly caused 2019 Miss Korea winner Kim Se Yeon‘s dress to flip up entirely. She was able to use her hand to control the dress’s movements until her time on the red carpet was over.
4. Yeo Min Jung
One of the most infamous red-carpet wardrobe mishaps occurred at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. Not only did Yeo Min Jung admit to purposely showing her thong, but she was accused of purposely causing her dress strap to fall and expose her breast.
