It has been confirmed that former T-ara member, Ahreum, has been sent to the prosecution on charges of child abuse.

On Jung 3, the Gwangmyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that they had recently sent Ahreum to the prosecution on charges of child abuse, child abandonment and neglect, and kidnapping and enticing a minor. Ahreum’s mother, identified as Ms. A, was also sent to the prosecution on charges of kidnapping and enticing a minor.

Ahreum had previously accused her ex-husband, Mr. B, of abusing their child and had filed a complaint with the police.

Mr. B had also filed a complaint against Ahreum on charges of child abuse around February to March.

After conducting an investigation, the police concluded that there was evidence of child abuse by Ahreum and forwarded the case to the prosecution. Ahreum and her mother have reportedly been ordered to maintain a temporary restraining order from their children.

It is known that Mr. B was recently cleared of charges related to this case.

A police official stated, “After comprehensively considering various circumstances, we concluded that there were charges against Ahreum and her mother and forwarded the case.”

Korean netizens were baffled by the latest developments in Ahreum’s case. They commented:

“She committed child abuse herself and then tried to frame her husband for it first? Wow, that’s amazing.”
