Katrina Halili is grieving the death of her former politician partner who died from a heart attack.
The actress shared the saddening news on Instagram with a photo of a man walking away from the camera.
“Ang daya mo love sabi mo aalagaan mo kami ni Katie bakit iniwan mo kami [?],” Katrina wrote alongside heartbroken emojis.
In an Instagram story, Katrina shared a post from Quezon City 3rd District Councilor Councilor Don De Leon that announced the death of her late partner who was a former vice mayor at a town in Lanao del Sur.
‘My best friend, my brother, my confidant and partner. Jeremy G. Guiab succumbed to a fatal heart attack at around 5:00 PM today. Together with his family, we ask for prayers, for his soul’s eternal rest with our Lord. A precious life gone too soon,” said De Leon.
Guiab was also a close friend of actor John Lloyd Cruz.
During a Fast talk WIth Boy Abunda interview last July 2023, Katrina shared how her partner helps her in taking care of her daughter Katie.
“Yung boyfriend ko yung mas nagga-guide sa akin para alagaan yung anak ko. Siya yung mas nagtuturo sa akin, kasi stubborn ako, di ba? Stubborn din yung anak ko.
“So, medyo mahirap kaming dalawa. Minsan nawawalan ako ng pasensiya, siya yung mas kalmado.Tinutulungan niya ako talaga. Siya yung mag-uusap, siya yung kakausapin ako, kakausapin niya yung anak ko,” said Katrina.
Katie, 11, is Katrina’s daughter with former boyfriend, singer Kris Lawrence.
Fellow celebrities, meanwhile, sent words of condolences to Katrina.
