Kaye Abad indulges in an unfiltered dialogue with Boy Abunda for the 315th episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, aired on April 12, 2024.

INSECURITIES
When asked whether she still faces insecurities about herself after years spent in the limelight, Kaye did not hesitate in responding, “Yes, palagi. Ewan ko Tito Boy, insecure ako.”
Surprised by her answer, Boy follows it up by asking what it is that makes Kaye feel unsure about her beauty.
Kaye laughs, admitting, “Sa height ko, na sabi ko nga magpapa-chiro[practor] ako baka tumaas-taas pa ako kahit 1 inch lang.
“Magpapa-stretch lang ako ng konti. Sa height ko, insecure ako sa height ko.”

She candidly adds: “Sa itsura ko, yes. Every time mag-g-guest ako sa ‘yo, yun talaga yung topic na hindi talaga.
“I would look at my face in the mirror always na hindi ako pangit, hindi ako napapangitan sa sarili ko.
“Hindi ko sinasabi na pangit ako, pero hindi ako nagagandahan… hindi ako yung talagang maganda.”
“UGLY VERSION” OF IZA CALZADO
Trying to grasp what beautiful looks like for Kaye, Boy asks: “If you were to look like someone, who comes to mind first?”
Again, without pause, Kaye confidently responds, “Iza Calzado.”
Boy gasps, agreeing, “Ah! Beautiful.”
Kaye reveals that she had been compared to the original Sang’gre in the past by DJ Mo Twister.
“Sinabi nga ni Mo Twister yun e, na ako raw ang ugly version ni Iza Calzado,” she says.
“At sinabi ko kay Iza Calzado yun, at tatanggapin ko yun. At least ugly version.”

Boy supports this by affirming that Kaye and Iza do bear a resemblance: “Pero, I was about to tell you na magkahulma halos ang kulay.
“Merong datingan na ganun, e.
“She’s a beautiful, beautiful woman inside and out.”
