Kim Atienza spoke about “true friendship” after he reunited with his former “It’s Showtime” co-hosts Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz, who visited the set of the weatherman’s TV show “TiktoClock.”
Jugueta played the piano and sang his band Itchyworms’ song “Beer” while Atienza was holding the microphone for him, as seen in a video on Atienza’s Instagram page on Thursday, April 25.
Corpuz later joined the two and sang along with Jugueta. After their brief performance, Atienza exclaimed, “It’s….TiktoClock!”
“I worked with Jugs and Teddy for 7 years. I was so happy to see them in GMA today,” Atienza said in the caption.
“In this ever changing world, true friendship remains permanent regardless of circumstances,” he added. “Salamat Jugs and Teddy! Love you both.”
In the comments section, a fan expressed hope to see more of such interactions, to which Atienza responded, “Sana!”
“It’s Showtime” hosts Jugueta and Corpuz were apparently in the GMA building for their guesting in the talk show “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
During their interview, the musicians looked back on the beginning of their careers as noontime show hosts, saying they have always relied on each other and that they are thankful for the opportunity given to them.
Atienza was among the original “It’s Showtime” cast introduced in 2009. He left the noontime show in 2016, then transferred to GMA Network in 2021.
