Kim Chiu admits being nervous while filming ‘Linlang’

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu got candid about her experience while working on her latest series Linlang. At a recent media conference for the highly-anticipated show, she shared how nervous she felt during her intimate scenes with co-stars Paulo Avelino and JM De Guzman.

Kim admitted that she stepped out of her comfort zone during the taping of the series. Director FM Reyes was happy about how the acting of Kim turned out as well during those scenes.

“Finally makikita natin yung versatility ng bata… Kaya medyo kinakabahan siya,” the director shared.

“Parang ito yung role na hindi ko naisip na gagawin ko siya in my whole acting career,” Kim revealed.

The 33-year-old actress diverged from her usual film and television characters as she plays a bolder and fiercer role in the form of Juliana Lualhati. In the first episode of the series, Kim’s character already had an intimate scene with her husband (portrayed by Paulo).

The Linlang star revealed that it was only their second taping day when the intimate bed scene with Paulo was shot. She shared that she had doubts if she would be able to pull it off and was thankful for the support given to her by her co-actors and directors.

“Second day palang ng taping namin ginawa namin yung eksana yun ni Paulo… Kinakabahan pa rin ako, pero parang sige A game siya so A game din ako. Kunyari seryoso nalang ako,” Kim shared.

“Magpapasalamat din ako ako sa mga director namin dahil sobra nila akong inalagaan, tinanggal nila lahat ng mga kaba at takot. Dahil sa kanila talaga ako kumapit. Lalo na sa unang eksena,” she added.

Meanwhile, Paulo admitted that he isn’t a fan of intimate scenes as well as he is uncomfortable doing them.

“Kinakabahan din ako. Intimate scenes like those are really––lagi ako kinakabahan kapag may ganun. I’m not comfortable doing it. I’ll do it based on my character in the script. As a person, never ako naging komportable talaga sa mga eksenang ganun,” Paulo said.

The first two episodes of Linlang are officially out and exclusive on the streaming platform Prime. The show has a total of 14 episodes and will release two episodes every Thursday.
