Kim Chiu couldn’t help but get emotional following the success of her projects on various streaming platforms and being dubbed as the “Queen of Digital Platforms.”
“Happy, apaka-OA. Masaya. Di ko inexpect. I thought I’m done. Gulat ako with everything, kaya masaya ako,” an emotional Kim confessed in an interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News.
The actress admitted that after her viral “bawal lumabas” remark, she thought that it was already the end of her career.
“After ‘bawal lumabas’, so parang feeling ko, kaya nafra-fragile ako lately. From FIT Check, Linlang, and Showtime, and ito nga What’s Wrong With Secretay Kim? So, thankful talaga ako,” she stated.
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? is the latest successful project of Kim which premiered on Viu on March 18.
“Sobrang happy talaga, like ang haba namin siya pinromote at sobra kaming kinakabahan and hindi namin maipaliwanag yung nararamdaman namin during that time,” she said.
The actress added: “We’re very happy sa naging outcome ng What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? Sana magtuluy-tuloy.”
Kim vowed to continue working hard for her supporters and for those who believe in her.
“Walang mapaglagyan ‘yung puso ko sa sobrang saya. Gusto ko lang mag-work nang mag-work, and dahil na rin sa mga taong sumusuporta din, mga naniniwala, sa mga taong curious din, sobra akong nagpapasalamat kung ako lang naman ‘to or the platform itself, hindi naman namin alam kung magiging number one dahil ito sa mga tao na nandiyan para sumuporta at manood,” she said.
Is there anything else she could wish for?
“Ako hiling ko sana tuluy-tuloy lang din ‘yung suporta nila sa akin, sa lahat ng shows and very thankful din sa ABS-CBN,” she said.
The actress was also asked if she believes in the adage that those who are lucky in their careers are not lucky in love.
She responded: “Huwag naman sana. Hindi, kung nandiyan, nandiyan. Kung wala eh di wala. So parang, bonus yung love if ever,” she remarked.
Asked if she already found that new love, she replied: “Grabe naman. Masaya naman tayong lahat, so sana let’s savor this moment habang nandiyan.”
Kim was present at the recent partnership signing between ABS-CBN and GMA for It’s Showtime which will start airing on GMA 7 on April 6.

In tears, Kim added, “Happy, apaka-OA. Masaya. Di ko inexpect. I thought I’m done. Gulat ako with everything.”
Kim said she had thought her career was over a couple of years back, when she received harsh criticism over her incoherent remark “Bawal Lumabas.”
“After ‘Bawal Lumabas’, so parang feeling ko, kaya nafra-fragile ako lately. From FIT Check, Linlang, Showtime, tapos What’s Wrong With Secretay Kim. So, thankful talaga ako,” she said.

Asked if she believes in the saying that those who are lucky in their careers could be unlucky in love, a laughing Kim said, “I think so, charot.”
“Wag naman sana. Hindi, kung nandiyan, nandiyan. Kung wala eh di wala. So parang, bonus yung love if ever,” she said.
