Kim Chiu when teased by ‘It’s Showtime’ co-hosts: ‘Di masakit’

A day after her ex-boyfriend Xian Lim’s dating confirmation, Kim Chiu once again received teasing remarks from her fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts but this time, she gamely responded: “It doesn’t hurt.”

On the noontime show episode aired on Friday, May 3, Chiu praised “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids” season two winner Kim Hewitt who sang Mariah Carey’s “Emotions” for the opening number.

“Iba talaga ang Kim, ‘no? Sobrang galing kumanta,” she quipped. (Individuals who were named Kim are indeed extraordinary. They are very gifted in singing.)

Anne Curtis then went to hug Chiu and said, “We love all the Kims, and we love you baby Kim.”

Curtis, Vhong Navarro and Jugs Jugueta also urged Chiu to treat the audience to a “sample,” with Curtis asking her what song she wanted to sing.

Before Chiu was able to say her answer, Jhong Hilario butted in and asked, “Gusto mo interview-hin ka na lang namin?” (Do you want us to interview you instead?)

Some netizens assumed that Hilario’s remark may be alluding to Lim’s earlier magazine interview, in which he disclosed that he is dating producer Iris Lee.

“Hindi!” Chiu replied in a sarcastic manner. “‘Wag gano’n, ‘di masakit.” (No! Not that way. It doesn’t hurt.)

The show hosts just laughed it off, then proceeded with their spiels.

Chiu and Lim had been together for 11 years before confirming their breakup to the public in December 2023, a few days before Christmas Day.

At the time, dating rumors involving Lim and Lee also made rounds on social media after comedian-showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz disclosed in a vlog that the producer was being linked to the actor.

Lim then revealed their real score in an interview with lifestyle magazine Esquire Philippines earlier this month, saying they are “very happy.”
