LE SSERAFIM has officially came to the Coachella 2024 stage.
On April 14, LE SSERAFIM officially appeared in front of tens of thousands of Coachella 2024 audiences. After BLACKPINK and aespa, the HYBE girlgroup is the third girl group to perform at the largest music festival on the planet. LE SSERAFIM impressed the audience with its glowing visual in its first time conquering Coachella.
The group kicked off with the “Good Bones” intro. As previously revealed, LE SSERAFIM performed with a live band. Facing many controversies about their live singing skills, the group’s decision to sing live with a live band attracted a lot of attention. After “Good Bones,” “Antifragile” is the song chosen for the opening performance. However, LE SSERAFIM could not completely conquer the audience with this stage. During the opening performance, the group had many weak and cracked live singing parts. While leader Chaewon “carried” the group, main vocalist Yunjin’s fluctuating performance has brought many mixed opinions.
LE SSERAFIM continued with a series of hit songs such as “Unforgiven,” “Eve,” “Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife,” “Perfect Night.” As the group regained their composure and their live singing ability, these performances were also positively evaluated. At the end, starting with “Smart,” LE SSERAFIM once again revealed its weak vocal and shaking voice.
However, LE SSERAFIM’s advantage is its attractive stage presence and ability to heat up the stage. The group’s first Coachella stage ended after nearly an hour. Even though there are imperfections, LE SSERAFIM’s efforts are still recognized by fans.
Compared to the past disastrous encore stages, LE SSERAFIM made significant progress when they dared to sing live with a band at Coachella, demonstrating their strength in performance and stirring up the crowd with their musical appeal. In terms of skills, the group has not been able to ensure stable performance throughout the set. Live vocals are still a huge minus point for LE SSERAFIM. The group will have their second stage at Coachella on April 20. The audience looks forward to seeing the group perform better in this return.
