LE SSERAFIM are on the receiving end of criticism again following their latest encore stage.
LE SSERAFIM recently made their comeback with “Easy,” and have collected music show wins from the moment they were eligible. Like other winning groups, LE SSERAFIM have performed encores as the show ended.
However, netizens were left less than impressed with their live encore stage following one of their first wins, calling out Sakura in particular.
This triggered many debates on live singing, as LE SSERAFIM gained attention for their attitudes during their next encore stage, where they performed in a different and unique way.
On March 7, the group took home another win on M!Countdown, their last broadcast, and proceeded to do another live encore stage.
Korean netizens were left less than impressed with their performance, criticizing most of the members’ vocal skills.
- It’s more frustrating because they’re my favorite group. Seeing their improvement in dancing makes me think they must have practiced singing a lot too, right? Even though they’re known for their performances, I wish when they sing standing still, their vocals would be closer to the original track.
- I don’t really think that I could do better than singers because I’m truly tone-deaf. But honestly, I feel like I could do this much. Everyone dances really well, but why is it that when it comes to singing, they can’t sing their own songs well..ㅜㅜ
- It seems like the company that debuted these members might be the problem… They seem uncertain and struggling with singing.
- I was surprised to hear that Kazuha had the second most lines, you know? I thought she was okay, but Heo Yoon-jin doesn’t seem like a vocal member. Honestly, I’m not sure if they’re doing well. Let’s not all sing off-key togetherㅠㅠㅠㅠ
- It seems like they have the worst singing skills among the 4th generation… They can’t even hit the right pitch while standing still and singing…
International netizens were also critical of the group’s latest live performance, though they accounted some of the criticism to LE SSERAFIM being given a song potentially outside their vocal ranges.
Not all of the encores have been badly received, which you can read more about below.
