Lim Ji Yeon was born 1990 and started acting in 2010 in theatrical plays and short movies. She struggled for four years to find a place in the entertainment business and was shot to stardom with two explicit movies.

The movie revolves around the sneaky love affair of Colonel JinPyeong (Song Seung Hun) and the wife of his underling Ga Heun (Lim Ji Yeon) against the military backdrop of 1969. Although legally married, the couple still fall in love at first sight and are deeply in love to the point of tragedy. The movie contains many nude shots and love-making scenes of the characters.
According to Chosun Ilbo, Lim Ji Yeon said she felt immense pressure while doing the explicit scenes but put much trust on her co-star, Song Seung Hun. Overcoming the associated rawness and obscenity, the love-making scenes, in fact, is created with artistic intent to show the couple’s love at its peak.

Song Seung Hun revealed that he always used designated protective props for sensitive areas and praised his acting partner for her professionalism, naturalness and quick adjustment to her surrounding. He also said he did not have much time to get to know Lim Ji Yeon beforehand so it was difficult to express the emotions while acting.
“Perhaps the shooting was more difficult for Lim Ji Yeon because she was a new actress had to start shooting in front of a lot of staff, who were largely male,” said Song Seung Hun on Enewsworld.
One year later, Lim Ji Yeon return to the big screen withe period movie “The Treacherous,” a piece with the hottest explicit scenes in the history of theater-released Korean movies. The movie recreated the “dark age” of Joseon under the reign of Yeonsangun, the insatiable lewdness. He captures young girls to make them his servants, one of which is Dan Hee (Lim Ji Yeon.) She carries the mission to avenge her father and uses her beauty to infiltrate the palace, seduce the king and find a way to kill him.
In the movie, Lim Ji Yeon and other female characters had to shoot scenes where they wore hanbok without an overcoat, which revealed their chest. The explicit scenes that spread from the opening to the end might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

“I could not help starring in ‘The Treacherous’ because of its strong scenarios and charismatic characters. During the revealing scenes, I had to solely trust the director. I really like director Min Kyu Dong’s previous works,” actress Lim said, showing her great confidence in the director.
Lim Ji Yeon was also in many intimate and sensual scenes with the actress Lee Yoo Young in “The Treacherous.” Recalling this detail Lee Yoo Young said, “At first, kissing and embracing someone of the same sex worried me. However, doing this with a woman was a bit more manageable and comfortable.”

After building a name for herself, Lim Ji Yeon’s career turned over a new page when she took over a role in the TV series “High Society” as a poor but optimistic and resilient girl. For this role, Lim Ji Yeon was praised for her acting performance and received the award for ‘New Star.’ She finally found her elements and was approached by many series producers. Lim Ji Yeon partook in “The Royal Gambler,” “Blow Breeze,” “Welcome 2 Life” and “ Tazza: One Eyed Jack.”
