Liza Soberano appears to have expressed support—albeit in an indirect manner—for fellow actress Bea Alonzo who filed cyberlibel cases against Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, the younger actress’ former talent manager.

Soberano shared a report from entertainment blog Fashion Pulis through her X (formerly Twitter) page on Thursday, May 2. The report features a photo of Alonzo from when she was filing the charges before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

Alonzo earlier filed three separate cyberlibel complaints against showbiz columnist Fermin, talk show host Diaz, their co-hosts in their respective online programs, and an unnamed netizen who allegedly pretended to personally know the actress and spoke on her behalf.

According to the actress’ camp, Alonzo became a victim of “false, malicious and damaging information” which were broadcast by respondents Fermin and Diaz through their shows.

After the filing, Diaz took to his social media page to say that he did not want to be pretentious on the matter, but that he would respond at the right time. Fermin, meanwhile, has yet to publicly speak up as of this writing.
