NBA star Stephen Curry and his wife, actress Ayesha Curry announced that they welcomed their fourth child in an early birth.
The couple announced the good news on Monday, May 27 in their joint Instagram post.
“Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!! He’s doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6!” Stephen wrote. “So grateful!”
They revealed that their son, Caius Chai, arrived on May 11.
In his April interview with the Associated Press, Stephen shared that they planned to welcome their son in June to make their schedules clear in the 2024 Summer Games, which will be held from July to August.
“We thought about it ahead of time, which was nice,” he said. “If the timing didn’t work at a certain month in the fall, we actually would have made a different decision knowing the Olympics were on the radar. So, thankfully, the Lord looked out for us and if everything goes to plan, I’ll be available this summer.”
The Irish Wish actress first revealed her fourth pregnancy in the cover story of her publication Sweet July in March.
In her essay, Ayesha shared that she and Stephen thought that they would settle for three kids, not until she realized that “somebody was missing.”
The couple currently share three children Riley Elizabeth, Ryan Carson, and Canon.
