Lovi Poe has nothing but good words for the late American actor Chance Perdomo, who was her co-star in the Hollywood independent film “Bad Man,” and the best friend of her husband Monty Blencowe.
Poe paid tribute to Perdormo through a video compilation of their moments together, shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, April 7. The 27-year-old actor died last March 30 after figuring in a motorcycle accident.
“If there’s one person who truly knew how to seize the day, it’s Chance,” Poe began.
“We humans understand that life is fleeting and we often remind ourselves to be present, but it’s easier said than done. However, Chance had mastered the art of living for today, living for the moment and consistently radiating boundless energy and devoting his full attention to making others feel cherished,” she stated.
Poe recalled Perdomo attending her civil wedding, arriving five minutes before the ceremony started “like a superhero with his backpack on.”
“He would send me medication when I wasn’t feeling well on set and would pull me out of my little corner, jokingly calling me the biggest recluse, and encouraging me to ease out of my shell,” she recalled.
Poe then expressed her longing for their friend, concluding her post by saying: “Some people go through a lifetime without encountering genuine kindness, but we were truly fortunate to have had him in our lives.”
Aside from Poe and Perdomo, other “Bad Man” cast members include Seann William Scott, Johnny Simmons, Rob Riggle and Andre Hyland.
The action-comedy film already wrapped filming in February, although details of its release have yet to be released as of this writing.
