The couple reportedly got to know each other after Amin, of the Malaysian state of Sabah, came across the TikTok account of Samat, of the Malaysian state of Kelantan, in 2021.
He initially just wanted to talk to and befriend the older woman. However, as time passed by, he realized that he had romantic feelings for her.
As the May-September relationship blossomed, the couple eventually met in real life and decided to tie the knot in 2022, after knowing each other for one year.
Amin has reportedly been getting on well with Samat’s family.
