Can’t Buy Me Love stars Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings recalled what were their first impressions of each other before working together as a trending pair in the hit Kapamilya series.
In a vlog interview with Luis Manzano, the two stars shared that they had different views about each other’s personalities in real life.
Maris, on the other hand, recalled a hilarious moment when she thought of Anthony as a snobbish person.
The two also revealed that before their trending scenes, they actually never talked to one another, even during the show’s press conference and look test.
“First time namin itong magtrabaho. Hindi kami naguusap, hindi kami nagpapansinan,” they both shared.
Luis, who was shocked by their answer, asked how they could work so well in their scenes that fans have been gushing over them.
“Magaling kasi siya eh,” Maris said.
Anthony also praised Maris, whom he already knew as a good actress from her previous projects.
“Mas nagconnect (din) kasi yung humor namin kasi yung humor ko pangkanal yung kaniya aircon,” he added.
Maris and Anthony play the roles of Irene Tiu and Snoop Manansala respectively in the hit primetime series Can’t Buy Me Love.
The pair, who had funny and “smelly” encounters in the series, became a trending topic online as netizens found the chemistry between their characters funny and full of kilig. Netizens even dubbed the pair as SnoRene. Outside of the show, their pairing has been called MaThon.
So, parang to get in the mood, sasamaan mo yung ugali mo.”
The Kapamilya stars were happy and grateful as they never expected that their characters would be appreciated and loved by the viewers.
When asked about how they work together, they shared how they played their roles.
They also revealed that the series’ directors also helped them make Snoop and Irene real and relatable.
