Maxine Medina looked breathtaking at her beach wedding.
On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the former beauty queen and her non-showbiz partner Timmy Llana. exchanged vows at Club Paradise Palawan, with the picturesque backdrop of Coron serving as their backdrop.
This was their second wedding.
Exactly a week ago, on October 3, their church wedding took place at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Daang Bakal Road in Antipolo City.
For her beach wedding, Maxine chose a flowy gown designed by Rhett Eala.
Rhett was also the creative mind behind her iconic looks at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant held in Manila in January 2017.
MAXINE MEDINA: SECOND BRIDAL LOOK
Maxine’s second bridal gown showcased elegant drapery, much like her previous Greek goddess-inspired gown by Mark Bumgarner for the church wedding.
With its sweetheart neckline and midriff keyhole, it bared just the right amount of skin.
In a March 2023 interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Maxine happily shared that Rhett Eala would design her gown for her dream beach wedding.
“Abangan niyo na lang if mai-post ko na,” the former beauty queen teased.
In another interview that month with Rhett, the designer referred to Maxine as one of his favorite muses, appreciating her attentiveness to his fashion guidance.
In his words, “…I work with her a lot. I’m actually doing her wedding gown. And she… she listens to me.”
When asked about Maxine’s preferences, Rhett said the gown should exude elegance while staying true to her personality.
The designer told PEP.ph, “It’s a beach wedding and she kinda wants it elegant and still very her.”
Adorning her dress was a diamond necklace plus a pair of diamond earrings from J’s Diamond.
Completing her bridal attire were the custom-made bridal sandals crafted by designer Jefferson Si.
In an Instagram post, the shoe designer detailed what it was like working with the Kapuso actress.
Jefferson wrote in his post (published as is), “It always excites me to design for a beach wedding as it comes multiple challenges and parameters to consider.
“Maxine’s custom Jefferson Si is one I got all the creative freedom to play with different materials.
“Embellished with crystals held by illusion perplex straps, these flats are designed to seamlessly float on her feet and shimmer against the beautiful sunset.
“Romantic and sexy, embodying Maxine’s personal style and vision as a bride-to-be.”
MAXINE MEDINA: GLAM TEAM
Albert Kurniawan worked his magic on Maxine, creating a flawless, warm bronzy make-up look with sultry eyes.
In an Instagram post, Albert revealed how he enhanced the bride’s morena skin.
He wrote, published as is: “I first work with Maxine way back 2008 , we both were just starting back then. We had tried many make up looks for shows, shoot, and some magazine work.. and then we meet again during her prep for the Miss Universe, we were focusing on that Miss Universe Perfect makeup look and mostly glamour but yet highlighting all her features…??
“Now that i am doing her bridal makeup, I asked her what kind of makeup she wants for her wedding day, and her answer was so simple ‘ikaw na bahala’ …
“so there you go, since its an intimate wedding in a private island in palawan, i decided to do her makeup that will highlight her beautiful golden tan, so I went extreme with the bronzing powder and coral blush that will give her cheeks that special bridal glow.
“For her eyes naman, decided to stick with 1 color trick.
“I used only dark metallic bronze eyeshadow and with elongated black liner to open up her chinita eyes 🙂 For lip, I did a neutral MLBB color with tons of gloss :):)”
Meanwhile, hairstylist Raymond Mateo elegantly styled Maxine’s hair in a sleek low bun, reminiscent of her hairstyle during Miss Universe 2016.
Adding the final touch to her bridal look was a beautifully arranged bouquet of white flowers, expertly arranged by florist and event stylist Tei Endencia.
Her husband Timmy wore a laid-back all-white suit.
