‘Min Hee-jin to leave HYBE company’ is trending across X (formerly known as Twitter). Why is it like that? Well, it’s all because BTSFans have signed a petition calling for Min Hee-jin’s departure from HYBE, amid the label’s ongoing feud with ADOR.
BTS’ ARMY Signs Petition to Kick Min Hee-jin Out of HYBEE Earlier today, a petition titled ‘MIN HEE JIN Leave HYBE Company’ surfaced on Twitter. The petition, which was posted on the international petition site Change.org on May 27, was started by ARMY Forever The petitioner, who is believed to be a fan of BTS, explained the reason for starting the petition: “It’s come to light that certain individuals are spreading misinformation and conducting a campaign of intimidation against some groups such as BTS, ILLIT And LE SSERAFIM,” the person wrote, before immediately giving a name CEO of ADOR Min Hee-jin.
The petitioner accused Min Hee-jin of media gaming and called for a thorough investigation into the matter. They also added that ADOR’s CEO should pay for any “damage” done to HYBE and its artists. More than 27,997 people have signed the petition. The goal is set at 25,000 signatures.
This petition was started just days after Min Hee-jin won her injunction petition against HYBE. The court had ruled in its favor, preventing HYBE from using the voting rights of 80% of the shareholders to dismiss ADOR’s CEO from her position at the label.
HYBE vs ADOR controversy
To catch you up: HYBE and ADOR have been in the middle of a huge feud since April 22. It all started after HYBE initiated an audit against ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. The parent label accused ADOR’s management of devising a plan to take over the sub-label, leaking sensitive information to outside entities and making attempts to tarnish the reputation of HYBE and its artists.
