Dispatch recently released an article containing photos of Han So Hee on her Hawaii trip. She was seen looking anxious and clutching her phone while her boyfriend, Ryu Jun Yeol, watched on. After Dispatch’s article was released, netizens began showing their support for Han, turning their backlash on Ryu and his ex-girlfriend Hyeri instead. This was a 180 degree change from before the article, where netizens were busy calling out Han So Hee.
Netizens recently found a detail that led them to suspect that the article had been paid for by Han So Hee’s agency. Not only was the article suspiciously supportive of Han So Hee, even ending with personal well-wishes for the star, but they also edited the article days after it was initially released. Originally, they uploaded photos of the star looking at her phone. These photos were clear, leading to fans being able to see what was on her phone screen.
Fans realized that she had been checking online communities for responses to her controversy.
They identified the screen as being from a page of a community poll.
After fans began to buzz about Han So Hee actively checking the online communities, Dispatch went back and edited the article, blurring out her screen in the photos.
This is a first for Dispatch, who normally takes the chance to expose any scandal. Netizens suspected that they had written the article due to a request from Han So Hee’s agency. They suspect that Dispatch either received a request from Han’s agency to edit the photo, or did so out of commitment to the deal.
- They also removed the photo where Ryu Jun Yeol looked like he had bad proportions. It’s obvious that the photos were paid to be taken.
- So they also mosaic photos for you? LOL f*ck. They even fabricated something about my idol so this is baffling to me.
- Of course they have to do it for them. They were paid.
- They probably got paid.
- Wow, it’s my first time seeing Dispatch do after servicing.
Not only this, but the photos are strangely high quality for a Dispatch article. As Dispatch uncovers celebrity scandals through following them around, most photos taken are blurry and of low quality. Even the HQ photos received suspicion from fans. As the two spent one more day in Hawaii after the scandal broke out, netizens are not above suspecting that the couple’s company had quickly pulled together a deal.
Dispatch has been known to write a variety of articles. While most are journalistically fair, others have a history of being suspected to be commissioned by the various celebrity agencies to sway public opinion towards their side.
