The new video uploaded on NewJeans’s social media account amid CEO Min Hee-jin’s controversy is drawing attention.
In the midst of the ongoing dispute between ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, NewJeans is the group that is affected the most. While the controversy has not yet been solved, the new video NewJeans posted on their SNS account surprised everyone.
The video shows 3 members Hanni, Haerin and Hyein acting like they are a cameraman, a reporter and a sound engineer. In particular, the video is about how the media quickly prepares to gather around when NewJeans makes their comeback.
Seeing this pov video, some netizens wondered if NewJeans is making jokes about the conflict between their CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk right ahead of their comeback with double singles in May and June.
However, fans immediately pointed out that the video had been uploaded on March 28th, only two days after ADOR announced NewJeans’s comeback and before Min Hee-jin’s crisis broke out. As such, a misunderstanding arose as some people brought up this video in the middle of the sensitive situation right now.
Meanwhile, Newjeans will return to the K-pop race with the double singles “How Sweet” & “Bubble Gum” on May 24th and “Super Nature” & “Right Now” on June 21st. Apart from its release in Korean, these singles will have special editions distributed in Japan.
On April 26th, the girl group released the promotional music video for the b-side track “Bubble Gum”. As ADOR announced Hyein’s temporary suspension of activities due to injury during practice earlier on April 11th, there is a high possibility that this comeback will have only four members.
