Talent manager and self-proclaimed “Patron ng Hiwalayan”, Ogie Diaz has once again stirred gossip, this time about the alleged breakup between Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino.
In the Sunday episode of “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update”, Ogie expressed that he heard rumors of Janine and Paulo parting ways once more.
He added a hopeful note, saying, “Sana hindi totoo. Si Paulo Avelino at si Janine Gutierrez ay… nakakaloka, sana hindi totoo. Split na raw ‘yung dalawa, ulit.”
Ogie pointed out the on-again, off-again nature of their relationship, noting their previous instances of getting together and breaking up.
“Dahil dati, nag-on. Tapos naghiwalay, nag-on ulit… So, ‘yan ay sabi lang ng aking nakausap at ‘yan ay kailangan nating marinig mula mismo sa bunganga ng kabayo,” said Ogie in his recent video.
It can be recalled that the Kapamilya stars sparked news of them rekindling their rumored romance last year after reportedly taking a break for a while.
Responding to co-host Mama Loi’s inquiry about the possible reasons behind the rumored breakup, Ogie stated, “Alam mo parang ano rin ‘to, Bea-Dom. Hindi natin alam kung ano ang rason.”
While cautioning that the news is unverified, Ogie couldn’t help but speculate on the potential aftermath, saying, “Basta ‘yun lang ang nakarating sa atin na split-amus na raw ang dalawa. Pero hindi po yan confirmed, ha? Narinig ko lamang po ‘yan.”
He then mentioned the possibility of Paulo pursuing his co-star Kim Chiu if he becomes single again, citing their close relationship while working together in the Kapamilya hit thriller series “Linlang”.
“Kung sakali lang na single na ulit si Paulo at madesisyunan niyang ligawan si Kim Chiu, at hindi na ako magtataka kung maging sila. Very close ‘yung dalawa Linlang days pa,” Ogie described the on-screen couple’s relationship.
The showbiz personality admitted to being a fan of the chemistry between Paulo and Kim, both on and off the camera.
“Feeling ko mabilis na magiging sila kung single na uli si Paulo. Kung magiging sila, magiging happy ako para kay Kim Chiu,” he said.
Paulo and Kim are currently working on their follow-up series together in the Filipino adaptation of the hit K-drama series “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim”.
