Placing the washing machine on an uneven surface
If the washing machine is placed on a rough surface, it can cause the drum to tilt, and the inner drum may collide with the outer casing while in operation, resulting in loud noise.
Solution: Check the surface where the washing machine is placed. If it’s uneven, you can move the washing machine to another location or adjust the machine’s feet to make it level. You can also reinforce the placement by putting down a hard wooden board or pouring concrete to ensure the surface is firm and does not affect the washing machine’s operation.
Using incorrect or damaged washing machine feet
When the washing machine makes loud noises and shakes, in addition to checking the floor’s level, you should also inspect the washing machine feet — the part connected to the bottom of the drum.
Using incorrect or damaged feet can cause the drum to tilt, leading to strong vibrations during operation. Check the feet, and if they are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver. If they are broken, replace them with new ones immediately!
Unevenly distributing clothes in the drum
Each washing machine can handle different loads depending on the product you are using. Therefore, you should avoid overloading the washing machine beyond its recommended capacity. This habit will affect the cleaning efficiency and the durability of the machine.
In addition, not sorting the clothes and unevenly distributing them can cause the clothes to twist together and shift to one side during washing, leading to an imbalance and causing the drum to tilt. As a result, the washing machine will shake violently and make loud noises during operation.
