Every Day, a Woman Bought 60 Kilos of Beef — Then Police Discovered Why She Needed So Much Meat

For several days, the same strange scene unfolded at a small butcher shop.

Every morning, just after the doors opened, an elderly woman named Lidia would walk inside and quietly ask for the same thing:

“Sixty kilos of beef.”

At first, the butcher thought he had misunderstood her.

Sixty kilos was an enormous amount of meat.

The woman had always been known as someone who lived modestly. She normally purchased only a small amount of meat, enough for a meal or perhaps a few days.

But now she was ordering enough beef to fill several large bags.

The butcher, Ovidiu, couldn't understand it.

And what made the situation even stranger was the fact that Lidia always seemed frightened.

She rarely spoke.

She never explained exactly what she needed the meat for.

And after paying, she would quickly take the heavy packages and leave.

At first, nobody thought much of it.

Then she came back the next day.

And ordered another 60 kilos.

“My Son Is Coming Home”

When Ovidiu finally asked why she needed so much meat, Lidia gave him a simple explanation.

Her son was coming to visit.

She said she was preparing a large family meal.

That seemed unusual, but not impossible.

Perhaps she had relatives coming.

Perhaps there was a celebration.

Perhaps she simply wanted to prepare food in advance.

Ovidiu accepted the explanation.

But later that day, he learned something that made the story much stranger.

Lidia's son had reportedly died several years earlier.

The information immediately changed the way people viewed her unusual purchases.

If her son was dead, who was she buying all that meat for?

And why was she continuing to return every morning?

The Rumors Began

In a small community, unusual behavior rarely stays secret for long.

People began talking.

Some believed Lidia was feeding stray dogs.

Others thought she might be secretly selling the meat.

Someone suggested that she could be supplying an underground business.

But nobody knew for certain.

There was one detail, however, that kept bothering people.

Lidia wasn't simply carrying the meat home.

She was reportedly transporting the packages toward an abandoned building near the forest.

The place had been unused for years.

Its windows were broken.

The surrounding area was overgrown.

And almost nobody had a reason to go there.

Yet Lidia kept returning.

Day after day.

With enormous quantities of beef.

She Didn't Want Anyone Following Her

Ovidiu noticed another disturbing detail.

Whenever anyone tried to ask Lidia questions, she became visibly nervous.

She looked behind her.

She lowered her voice.

And she repeatedly refused offers of assistance with the heavy bags.

The behavior made the rumors even worse.
