Chapter 1: A Normal Childhood That Suddenly Changed
For years, eight-year-old Ethan appeared to be a healthy and energetic child. Like many children his age, he enjoyed school, playing with friends, and spending time with his family. His parents believed they were doing everything they could to provide him with a happy and comfortable life.
One thing that stood out, however, was Ethan's preference for a very limited range of foods. He often refused vegetables and fresh fruits, choosing instead highly processed snacks and convenience foods. Although his mother worried about his eating habits, she assumed it was simply a phase many children experience.
Everything changed when Ethan began complaining about stomach discomfort. At first, the symptoms seemed minor. Occasional fatigue, abdominal pain, and digestive issues were easy to dismiss as common childhood problems.
As weeks passed, the symptoms became more frequent. His parents noticed that he appeared weaker and less energetic than before. Concerned, they decided it was time to seek professional medical advice.
