Others advised filing complaints with delivery companies.
Some even warned me not to confront anyone directly.
Still, frustration eventually got the better of me.

I expected an awkward conversation.

When the door opened, I immediately felt uncomfortable.
My neighbor stood there wearing a nightgown, looking surprised to see me.
For a moment, neither of us spoke.
I suddenly realized how strange my visit must have seemed.
She crossed her arms and asked what I wanted.
Trying to remain calm and polite, I explained the situation. I told her several of my packages had gone missing and that I was trying to understand what was happening.
Her expression changed immediately.
Rather than appearing defensive or angry, she seemed genuinely confused.
Then she asked a question that caught me completely off guard.
