That night when I returned home, I discovered that my luggage had been moved. I was afraid that my husband would come back and search for money in the suitcase, so I turned on the camera to check again.
My husband and I have been married for 7 years, but only the first 2 years were happy, the rest were tears. My husband's job was erratic, sometimes he had a lot of work, a good income, sometimes he took a long break, and stayed home to play. But every time I reminded him to find a job, he would yell: "When people bring home a lot of money, you don't mention it, just see me at home for a few days and chase me away."
But he stayed home for half a year, without a job, so he threw himself into playing around, hanging out at restaurants. The money he earned was spent on himself, while we still had a son in kindergarten.
I couldn't advise my husband, so I just tried to earn money to raise our child. Fortunately, we live with my husband's parents, so they help us a bit with cleaning the house, going to the market, cooking, and picking up the children. They used to be farmers, but now they are retired from farming, so they have no income. Every month, I give her 4 million in advance to go to the market. If I see that she is feeding me fried eggs and vegetable soup, it means I have run out of money, so I send more.
For the past six months, my husband has been causing trouble. He works less and is often not at home, but not for work, but for fun. He doesn't bring home any money for his wife and children. On the contrary, he sometimes forces me to transfer him a few million. "If you don't transfer the money, I will go back and search my cupboards. If I sell anything then don't blame me," he threatened me.
I endured it patiently, until it was too much, I decided to divorce. I told my husband's parents, and they were not surprised at all. She cried silently and said: "Mom and Dad also understand that it will be like that. They only know how to love you and your grandchildren but do not dare to stop you. You have suffered enough, I do not want you to suffer more". The father-in-law also said: "Mom and Dad always treat you like a daughter, only blame your husband for not knowing how to behave. If Mom and Dad can help you in the future, do not hesitate, just come back here and tell Mom and Dad".
I could not hold back, tears kept falling down the back of my hand. I thanked my grandparents and then packed my things for the two of us, planning to go back to my parents' house at the weekend, because I still had to work for the rest of the week.
That night, when I returned home, I discovered that my luggage had been moved. I was afraid that my husband would come back to search for money in the suitcase, so I turned on the camera to check again. Seeing that at 10am, when my mother-in-law went to the market, before that I went to work and the children went to school, my father-in-law immediately entered my room to look at the things I had neatly placed aside, he immediately took out a wad of money from his shirt pocket and stuffed it into a corner of the suitcase. Then he searched in my child's backpack for a small teddy bear, this was the teddy bear my child often hugged to sleep, I saw him rubbing his eyes, he must have been crying. He took the teddy bear out of the room, then brought it back in a while later, and put it back in its original place. I guessed that he probably intended to keep the teddy bear, but was afraid that the child would cry and look for it, so he returned it.
Seeing that image made me cry. I know my grandparents love my mother and me, want to keep us, but I don't want to live with a husband who only knows how to make his wife and children suffer. Leaving is the best way. On the weekend, I asked my parents-in-law for permission to leave, the farewell was full of tears, everyone cried, even my child promised to visit my grandparents often. I only knew that I would go to my grandparents' house to live for a while, but I didn't know about the separation of the adults. I just hoped that my parents-in-law would live peacefully until the end of their lives.
