Chapter 1: Understanding the Symbols on Your Air Conditioner Remote
Many air conditioner users overlook the small icons displayed on their remote controls. However, these symbols can significantly affect both comfort and electricity consumption.
The snowflake icon is usually associated with Cool Mode. In this setting, the air conditioner works to lower the room temperature to the level you select. It is the most commonly used mode during hot summer days.
The water droplet icon typically represents Dry Mode. This function is designed to reduce humidity in the air rather than aggressively cool the room. In regions where the weather is humid, Dry Mode can make the environment feel much more comfortable while consuming less energy than Cool Mode.
Many users automatically choose the coldest setting available, believing it will cool the room faster. In reality, setting the temperature extremely low often causes the unit to work harder and consume more electricity without providing significant additional comfort.
A better approach is to understand how each mode works and choose the one that best matches current weather conditions.
