Daily Mail Emma Stone scored 94.72% when measured using the golden ratio, a measure of physical perfection. Her eyebrows scored 94.2%, her jawline 97%, and her symmetrical lips 95.6%.
To determine the most beautiful woman, Dr. Julian De Silva, who runs the Center for Advanced Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery in London, uses a computerized face mapping technique based on the golden ratio. According to the expert, this new computer mapping technique helps to decode some of the mysteries of what makes a person physically beautiful. It is also useful when planning a patient's surgery.
The golden ratio is a mathematical formula created in ancient Greece to determine physical perfection by comparing measurements, proportions and symmetry. In which, the number Phi = 1.618 is the perfect formula for beauty. A person whose facial or body proportions are closer to 1.618 is more beautiful.
During the Renaissance (15th to 17th centuries), artists and architects used the number Phi as a tool to aid in their artistic creations. Leonardo da Vinci, for example, used Phi to describe the perfect male body in his famous work, The Vitruvian Man.
"Emma Stone is the clear winner after all the facial elements were close to physical perfection," explains Dr. Julian De Silva.
