Where are all the math experts?

  1. Assuming the number of eggs follows a direct proportion
Some people think, “If 3 hens lay 3 eggs in 3 days, then 12 hens must lay 12 eggs in 12 days.” That sounds logical, but it’s incorrect!
  2. Misinterpreting the time factor
Many forget to account for the fact that the number of eggs depends on both the number of hens AND the number of days.
  3. Not breaking down the problem into smaller steps
Instead of analyzing the question step by step, some rush to answer without fully understanding how the numbers relate.
