On August 11th (local time), “The Marvels” director Nia DaCosta conducted an interview with Total Film Magazine.
First, Nia DaCosta expressed her overwhelming confidence in the movie, raising viewers’ curiosity about the story.
Nia DaCosta shared, “I think superhero fatigue absolutely exists”, and emphasized that “The Marvels” would tell a completely different story.
She continued, “The biggest difference from the other MCU movies to date is that it’s really wacky, and silly”, adding “The worlds we go to in this movie are worlds unlike others you’ve seen in the MCU. Bright worlds that you haven’t seen before”, hinting at the storyline.
“The Marvels” producer Mary Livanos also revealed that the film is different from existing Marvel movies.
She shared, “The Avengers movies are these epic conclusions to chapters of storytelling, whereas this is a team-up within the narrative that we didn’t necessarily expect for Marvel”.

Marvel fans are looking forward to “The Marvels”, which is the follow-up movie to the female hero film “Captain Marvel” released in 2019.
“The Marvels” depicts the story of three female superheroes, “Captain Marvel” Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau and “Ms Marvel” Kamala Khan, teaming up to fight against the villains.
