Fans of the hit GMA TV series “Pepito Manaloto” expressed dismay after some of the cast members shared a photo of them huddled for a group hug, which some interpreted as a hint at the show’s upcoming finale.
Comedian John Feir, who portrays the role of Patrick in the TV series, showed himself with co-stars Michael V., Manilyn Reynes, Chariz Solomon, Janna Dominguez, Arthur Solinap, Mosang, and three others whose face cannot be seen, through an Instagram post on Monday, April 15.
“Pamilya kami,” Feir captioned his post, adding a red heart emoji and the hashtag “Pepito Manaloto.”
Reynes, Solinap, and Dominguez reshared the photo as well through their respective Instagram pages.
“Te quiero todo ‘Pepito Manaloto’ Familia,” stated Solinap, for his part, which translates to “I love you all ‘Pepito Manaloto’ family.”
“Mahal ko kayo,” Dominguez, meanwhile, declared.
Cast member Maureen Larrazabal also made a video compilation of their group photos, using Kenny Rogers’ “Through The Years” as the background song.
The comments section was then swarmed with avid viewers who spoke about their love for the show, hoping that the hit series wouldn’t end soon.
When sought for comment on the matter, GMA Network said there is no official announcement yet.
“Pepito Manaloto,” which first cast Sef Cadayona as the eponymous protagonist, first aired in March 2010. The show had a series break during the height of the pandemic in 2021 then returned in 2022.
The series follows Pepito (Michael V.) and Elsa (Reynes) going through rough times until his biggest break when he won the lottery jackpot that changed his life for the better, as he navigates his journey as a wealthy man, leaving behind nuggets of wisdom for the viewers to chew on.
