Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won both admired Kim Jung-nan’s performance.
In the first part of tvN’s “Queen of Tears” special “Miracle Record.zip,” which was released on May 4th, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won mentioned Kim Jung-nan’s acting while selecting the most cry-worthy scene.
The production team asked the cast which was their “Favorite episode” was, and Kim Soo-hyun said, “The most memorable episode was that the epilogue part of episode 10, which I received a lot of praises. The part I said ‘I love you Haein’ was very memorable.”
Kim Ji-won answered, “I think it’s the 7th episode. There were many tense scenes where Hyun-woo and Hae-in’s emotional goals and conflicts were explained and resolved, and then they moved on to a new phase. These were scenes where I focused on more because I wanted to do better while filming, but as those scenes continued, I forgot to monitor my acting and was more immersed in the drama as one of the viewers.”
Kwak Dong-yeon said, “We (the Hong family) arrived at Yongdu-ri at the end of the eighth episode, right? The scene where we met Yongdu-ri’s family for the first time. I think it was like the beginning of the second act of our drama.”
In particular, in response to the question, “What scene made me cry?” Park Joo-bin confessed, “It was heartbreaking when Hyun-woo and Hae-in had to endure the pain of the miscarriage in their rooms.”
When asked “Baek Hyun-woo, prince of tears who shed tears every time. Is there a scene where you think ”’ did well with the crying’?” Kim Soo-hyun said, “In the 14th episode filmed in Germany, both Hyun-woo and Hae-in were very emotional. In Korea, we filmed the first and second episodes and then went to Germany to film the 14th episode. Both of us and the director thought a lot about it (how to act). I think I try to maintain my concentration as much as possible by adding the realistic atmosphere that I can feel at the scene.”
Kim Ji-won said, “I cried a lot in the scene when aunt Beom-ja cries,” while Kim Soo-hyun also confessed, “There is a scene where aunt Beom-ja is like, ‘Why is Mi-young dying?’ In the car,” referring to Kim Jeong-Nan’s amazing acting skills.
