A video circulating on social media shows a white Hyundai i20 stuck in fast-moving water in the muddy waters of the Ghaggar River in Panchkula, India.
Witnesses and police reports confirm that the vehicle is owned by a woman who came to pray at the temple near the Ghagga River.
After praying, the female driver was about to drive back when heavy rain caused the Ghaggar River to rise unexpectedly near the temple where her car was parked.
When the water rose rapidly and the vehicle got stuck, nearby residents rushed to help. Although the car was swept away by the strong current, rescuers still managed to pull the woman out using a rope. After being rescued, she was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for a preliminary medical examination.
