Rita Daniela reveals challenges of being single mom, and co-parenting setup

Single parenthood presents itself with a set of distinct challenges that celebrity mom Rita Daniela can attest to.

During the 10th anniversary gala of Urban Smiles dental clinic, at the Seda Vertis North Grand Ballroom, on September 18, 2023, the Sparkle artist talked about how she has been faring as a single mom.

She began, saying, “Well, ang challenges kasi actually sa sobrang hands-on ko, ako lang nag-aalaga sa baby ko and my mom.

“Wala pa akong nanny so talagang I do everything, all the work.”

According to her belief, this is a foolproof way for her nine-month-old son, Juan “Uno” Andres, to realize and recognize that he is truly loved.

“I think it’s gonna be worth it.

“Kasi kahit na one year lang iyan na talagang tutok ako kay Uno, definitely, kumbaga may mapupuntahan.

“Mafi-feel niya talaga na mahal ko siya, ganon.”

The 28-year-old OPM artist also revealed that she has not been accepting any acting projects lately.

“Kasi again, I really want to be a hands-on mom. So,definitely next year, mas maraming, mas marami silang makikita sa akin.”

CO-PARENTING SET-UP

Rita made sure to clarify that she maintains a healthy relationship with her former partner and Uno’s father.

“Oh yeah, dun sa my last interview with Tito Boy sa Fast Talk, we’re good friends,” she said.

“We’re co-parenting, and we’re very lahat gagawin namin, you know, for our son.

“For the sake of our son.”

In the said Fast Talk with Boy Abunda episode aired on June 15, 2023, Rita also disclosed other details about momhood.

For instance, she cited that she only gets three hours of sleep as a single mom, or that Uno’s dimples are attributed to her “paglilihi kay Mavy Legaspi.”

Soon, as the host and the actress delved deeper into the conversation, Rita confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with Uno’s father.

“We really tried our best just like everybody else, but it didn’t work out.

“I’m actually proud of ourselves, kaming dalawa, kasi hangga’t maaga inaayos na namin siya.

“Para pag lumaki na si Uno, alam mo po yun, peaceful po kami and we can still be a family na wala na pong issue-issue sa both sides.”
