Actress Ryu Da-in mentioned her romantic relationship with actor Lee Chae-min in a recent interview.
On the morning of March 28, actress Ryu Da-in had an interview following the conclusion of the TVING original series “Pyramid Game”.
“Pyramid Game” tells the story of Baekyeon Girls’ High School, where monthly polls are used to rank students in class, and the extreme differential treatment for students of different ranks.
In the drama, Ryu Da-in played the role of Myeong Ja-eun, a perennial F-grade student, who always seems down but is overflowing with affection towards people.
On this day, Ryu Da-in talked about gaining popularity due to her role, saying, “I’m not someone who checks DMs diligently, but there were many comments like ‘I enjoyed the drama’ or ‘I liked the character,’ so I heard such things a lot. It was a character I really liked.”
The actress also recalled her audition for the project, saying, “When I first attended the audition, I was very shy. I didn’t even put on makeup, just pinned my hair with a hairpin. I went for a casual and comfortable look. Maybe that’s why they chose me to play Ja-eun. I was really seriously shy. When I was asked questions, I only looked at the script, so maybe they thought I would suit Ja-eun.”
Regarding synchronization with the original webtoon, Ryu Da-in stated, “Since the original work was very popular, and the character’s synchronization was crucial, I tried to lose as much weight as possible. Originally, I was supposed to gain weight, but I was worried I might come out too plump, so I deliberately lost weight. I even wore a wig and completely removed the hair color. I also stuck to one pair of shoes.”
She then talked about her relationship with Lee Chae-min, which was reported on March 25. In particular, Ryu Da-in smiled shyly and said, “Thank you for your support, we are dating happily.”
When asked if there is any pressure to admit to a relationship as a rookie actress, Ryu Da-in laughed and said that she doesn’t feel pressured.
Additionally, when asked about her date that was reported by media outlets, Ryu Da-in mentioned that it just happened to be a nice day.
Regarding confidently publicizing their dates and lovestagrams, the actress said, “I don’t know. It seems to be my personality. I’m not really secretive. You might not believe it, but I really tried to hide it. I didn’t expect you to pay so much attention. I even wore a mask and a hat”, laughing.
