During the media conference of her comeback teleserye, Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa, Sarah responded to a question about revenge. The question was, “Is it okay for you to seek revenge against someone who hurt you deeply or badly? Or bahala na?”
In the most graceful manner, Sarah said that she believes in the idea of karma. Adding that peace matters a lot more to her than getting back at someone who has done something bad to her.
“I believe in karma. For me, personally, there’s nothing more expensive than peace. We can’t get peace if we seek revenge,” Sarah noted.
She continued by reminding everyone there’s satisfaction in life that you cannot achieve if you aim for revenge. “There’s power in prayer… There’s a certain feeling na hindi mo makukuha by protecting your peace. And again you don’t get that by seeking revenge,” she expressed.
Sarah Lahbati’s past relationship
Sarah has recently been making headlines for her past relationship with her estranged husband Richard Gutierrez. They have been a couple longer than some reels-to-real-life couples, which is why the news of their separation shocked netizens.
The intrigue grew stronger as both of their families chimed in regarding the rumors, starting with Richard’s mother, Annabelle Rama. In December 2023, she did a bombshell interview that included fiery comments against Sarah. Anabelle was the first to break her silence surrounding Richard and Sarah’s then-rumored split.
It was Annabelle who confirmed to the public that the once-lovestruck couple were not living together anymore. By her remarks, people could tell that there was bad blood between her and Sarah at the time.
“Nakikita mo naman, hindi mo na kailangang magsalita pa. Nakikita mo na yan. Si Richard trabaho nang trabaho, ‘yung isa nagwawaldas ng pera. ‘Yun lang ang masasabi ko diyan,” she strongly said.

After a decade, Sarah is back and starring in an action-drama series again. Here, she is starring as Mercy Balmores. She will have a complicated love story with Kiko Estrada, who plays Norman Dela Cruz, one of the enemies of Mercy’s father.
Starring alongside the two are veteran actors including Gardo Verzosa, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Sid Lucero, and more. Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa airs on TV5.
