Sarah Lahbati answers rumors about her new relationship.
Sarah Lahbati broke her silence after a photo of her dining with an unnamed man circulated on social media earlier this week. This came after columnist and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz uploaded the said photo in his YouTube vlog.
This led to netizens assuming that Sarah is seeing a new person after her separation from estranged husband Richard Gutierrez.
The actress shared that because of her recent single status, rumors about a new beau would always surface on social media. She proudly said that it’s not something that bothers her at the moment.
“It’s okay ’cause again, I am single. Let me repeat that I am single. Of course there will always be speculations,” she shared.
Sarah added that the photo circulating online was of herself and a guy friend with whom she met up in Hong Kong where she visited several tourist attractions.
“I went to Hong Kong to experience the Sea Art puzzle. It’s always been a dream of mine to check it out and I am happy that I was able to go. That photo circulating around is my friend. I visited Hong Kong and met up with different friends there,” she shared.
The 30-year-old star maintained that it’s alright for women to have friends from the opposite gender.
“Is it unfair? Is It bothering me? No. It takes a lot more for something to bother me. But I think, as a woman, we’re all allowed to have guy friends. Again, it’s okay to speculate because again I’m single and it’s part of a whole new thing,” she added.
Meanwhile, Sarah expressed that she remains unbothered by the baseless accusations thrown in her direction.
“Sanay na kasi. Kung matandaan niyo naman na ang buhay ko ay punung-puno ng makulay na intriga simula sa pagkapanganak ko kay Zion–– remember when that happened–– and up to now, hindi ako nilalayuan ng intriga. So for me it’s nothing,” she claimed.
Sarah confirmed her separation with Richard last March in a brief interview with ABS-CBN News. She nonchalantly answered the question about her relationship status which caught many by surprise.
