Megastar Sharon Cuneta took to social media to pen a heartwarming message to her husband Kiko Pangilinan after Christmas Day.
In her Instagram post, Sharon uploaded photos containing a quote from American artist and poet Brigitte Nicole Grice and American philosopher Cornel West. The former quote is all about loyalty, while the latter discusses the things to consider in a relationship, including commitment, love, patience, and persistence.
The singer-actress admitted that her relationship with Kiko is imperfect. She emphasized that although they disagree sometimes, she found a good husband in Kiko.
Kiko then replied to Sharon, “I love you too. Love thy neighbor …@reallysharoncuneta,”
In case you don’t know, the witty endearment stemmed from the idea of neighbors being adjacent to one another, like how Sharon and Kiko are always by each other’s side. Sharon said it was nothing but a “private joke” between them. According to her, when she called Kiko that way, the latter replied, “Love thy neighbor,” borrowing words from God’s fourth commandment.
Meanwhile, the 57-year-old actress revealed in November 2022 that she and Kiko reunited after a “lovers’ quarrel” that lasted six months.
“Reunited after a 6-month-long L.Q., which we thought would lead to a separation,” she said in an IG post that featured a series of lovey-dovey photos taken during the birthday bash of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo’s daughter, Yohan.
“Akala ko single na ako uli next year. Ayan, buti bati na,” she said on the social media platform.
Sharon recently headlined a reunion concert with her ex-husband, Gabby Concepcion, titled “Dear Heart.”
During the concert’s press conference, Sharon said that her husband has no issue with it, highlighting that Kiko is very secure about their relationship.
“So, bago natuloy ‘to [na concert], sabi niya, ‘Sana naman matuloy na yan. Kasi, laging hindi natutuloy. So, sana matuloy na yan.’ Ganun siya. He’s very supportive. He’s very secure,” Sharon said during that time.
The couple tied the knot on April 28, 1996, and were blessed with three kids: Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.
