Actor Song Joong-ki mentioned the controversy surrounding the heart gesture incident that occurred in the past.
On the 6th, an interview with Song Joong-ki, who played the lead role Logan in the film “My Name is Loh Kiwan” directed by Kim Hee-jin, was conducted at a cafe located in Jongno-gu, Seoul. “My Name is Loh Kiwan” is a film that tells the story of Loh Kiwan (Song Joong-ki), who has lived a rough life, meeting a mysterious woman named Mari (Choi Sung-eun) in a strange land.
Song Joong-ki had been embroiled in controversy over his attitude when he refused to do a heart pose at a photo wall event during the production presentation of the drama “Reborn Rich.” Regarding this, he explained, “I didn’t do the heart pose because I thought doing typical gestures was boring. If my attitude seemed reflected negatively, then it’s my fault. I didn’t do it because it seemed dull, not because I didn’t want to do it.”
He then mentioned his changed attitude, saying, “I have a personality that reflects on my responsibilities before blaming others. I think about not becoming a person my child would be ashamed of later and try not to show embarrassing behavior.”
Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki’s “My Name is Loh Kiwan” can be found on Netflix.
