On March 5th, actor Song Joong-ki had an interview with StarNews on his new Netflix movie “Loh Kiwan” at a cafe in Samcheong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
In this interview, Song mentioned that he constantly participated in overseas auditions and dreamed of a future where he could grow further. “I’m having fun challenging myself, and I’m falling a lot,” he said. “There is no sense of disappointment. They call me a top star here, but not abroad. There are works that I can do without auditioning with my recognition in Asia. There are opportunities like that, but it’s a different story as I want to challenge myself.”
“We are not in a time when we see movies because of famous actors. These days, I think scripts are more important than actors. I tend to focus on essential stories and books,” he said. “Now that I mention it, I watched “Dune” because of Timothy Chalamet. It was so fun. It doesn’t make sense.”
