On March 28th, Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk’s YouTube channel released a video with Taeyeon’s guest appearance.
Donghae and Eunhyuk recalled Taeyeon, whom they had watched since childhood. Eunhyuk said, “Taeyeon was like a little sister I wanted to take care of. She’s lost so much weight now and people tell her to eat more. She used to be chubby until her debut.” Taeyeon joked, “I yo-yoed in weight at the beginning of my debut.”
Eunhyuk reminisced, “She was even chubbier as a trainee. Soft and squishy like sticky rice cakes, like tofu.”
He continued, “She was always laughing, seemed like she had good things happening all the time.” Taeyeon expressed longing, “I wonder what was so fun back then. Now it feels like my dopamine is depleted. I want to go back to those days.”
When asked about celebrity friends she contacts often, Taeyeon replied, “I don’t have any.” When asked if she meets Key often, Taeyeon said, “If you count it that way, we see each other once every two weeks. But personally, I really don’t have any friends.” She confessed, “I have worries. I have no friends.”
Eunhyuk chimed in, saying, “Me too,” and Donghae added, “I’ve only met people who exercise. There aren’t many ordinary people, let alone celebrities.”
Taeyeon also mentioned NewJeans as celebrities she’d like to get close to. She told Donghae and Eunhyuk, “We were trainees together. There used to be a more affectionate feeling, but nowadays I don’t run into (my juniors). Honestly, I’ve never seen RIIZE. I really want to have a lot of conversations, but it seems too difficult for RIIZE to approach me first.”
In addition, Taeyeon’s recent release ‘To.X’ was discussed. When asked why she didn’t appear on music shows, Taeyeon said, “I don’t like the system of music shows. I understand, but isn’t it too inconsiderate to sing in the early morning? There are unavoidable things like that. Ultimately, it’s regrettable that I couldn’t show better stages, so I want to make other content and show something better.”
Eunhyuk also agreed, saying, “It used to be taken for granted that we had to do music shows, but now there are many other ways to show (our talent). It’s right to be more ambitious and show something good.”
