Taylor Swift’s newest album is finally out and, as predicted, fans are losing their minds.
After the Eras Tour made the singer reach new heights, not least the fact she’s now a billionaire, the ‘Swifties’ cult could not be stronger.
As a result, many millions couldn’t wait for The Tortured Poets Department to release on Friday (19 April).
And as the new album released into the wild, it was revealed that The Tortured Poets Department is, in fact, a double album.
Somehow keeping it a secret up until now, fans of Swift have been treated to fifteen extra tracks with her 11th studio release.
“It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album,” Swift wrote on Instagram.
“I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.”
While the news comes as huge surprise to the majority of music fans, it appears the ‘Shake It Off’ singer has been hinting at a double album for a while.

It’s been the use of the word ‘two’ that has become pretty clear in recent hours, with these so-called easter eggs commencing at the Grammys.
At the award show, Swift announced her new album, as she said: “I am telling you a secret that I have been keeping for two years.”
The singer threw up two fingers as she said the word ‘two’ before giving a pointed look at the camera.
The number two has also appeared in various other marketing materials in recent days ahead of the release of the new album.
In an X post by Taylor on Wednesday (17 April), she used the peace sign emoji – aka two fingers being raised.
Another post on Wednesday saw a video featuring several clocks that are were all set to 2 o’clock, while the room featured two desks and two typewriters. Coincidence?

Elsewhere in Swift’s new album, fans have been left stunned after Swift appears to have dropped a Kim Kardashian ‘diss track’.
A song called ‘thanK you aIMee’ features on Swift’s 11th studio album release, and already you can see a Kim link as the capital letters in the song title spell out the name ‘KIM’.
Swift fans on the website Genius believe they know exactly what the song intends after it tells the story of a bully who’s celebrated.
“Kim Kardashian’s attempt to ruin Taylor’s career during the phone scandal backfired on her and boosted Taylor to an even higher level of fame,” they theorised.
