K-Dramas have seen a new trend of having 19+ bed scenes right at the beginning. Are these details comprehensible or sensitive?
The type of dramas with slow love processes or love that is turned from hatred has been considered old-fashioned. Many Korean Dramas in 2021 began their story with a bed scene in the very first episode to describe the love between mature people.
1. One Ordinary Day
Marking Kim Soo-hyun’s long-awaited comeback this year, “One Ordinary Day” surprised the viewers with a 2-minute long bed scene in the first episode. As this drama is not aired on the national channel, the hot scene was shown fully without any restriction. Therefore, audiences were amazed by a new transformation in Kim Soo-hyun’s image.
2. Now, We Are Breaking Up
One of the hottest dramas recently, “Now We Are Breaking Up” starring Song Hye-kyo also had a 19+ rated scene. Since this series is aired on national TV channel, the bed scene was not fully revealed like Kim Soo-hyun’s but was enough to shock many viewers as this turned out to be just a one-night stand, and the two didn’t even need to know each other’s names after the night.s
3. High Class
With the participation of the “hot scene queen” Jo Yeo-jeong, it is easy to understand why High Class began its story with an 18+ scene. Unfortunately, this bed scene was the opening of a tragedy in which Jo Yeo-jeong was blamed for murdering her husband.
4. The Road: The Tragedy of One
Another series about the fight between high-class people, “The Road” surprised the viewers with a series of hot scenes in its very first episode. These scenes lasted for only a few minutes but left a great impression on the viewers.
5. Nevertheless
Unlike other dramas above, “Nevertheless” revealed the bed scenes starting from episode 2. Although not many revealing parts were shown on screen, the bed scene of Song Kang and Han So-hee was perfectly portrayed thanks to close-up shots and the actors’ good expressions.
