The Brabus customization package along with two additional accessories for this Mercedes-AMG G 63 consumed nearly 1 billion Vietnamese dong of an owner in Hanoi.
As a luxury SUV favored in Vietnam, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 is gradually becoming more popular in major cities. With this growing trend, Brabus is also gaining more presence due to users selecting the German tuning company to upgrade the G 63, despite other customization options from Topcar Design, Hofele, Urban, among others.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 in this article owned by a Hanoi magnate stands out not only for its rare red exterior but also because the owner spent a substantial amount upgrading it with the Brabus package and several other high-end accessories.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang, representing SunCar, the estimated cost of the exterior customization package is around 180 million dong, primarily due to the extensive use of carbon fiber components. Additionally, two supplementary high-end accessories brought the total amount spent on beautifying the car to nearly 1 billion dong.
The customization package enhances the G 63’s rugged and muscular appearance. The front section of the car features a redesigned bumper with three large air intakes, accompanied by LED strips positioned in the intakes on either side.
The distinctive “three-pointed star” logo of Mercedes-Benz has been replaced by a Brabus logo with a black finish and red trim. The grille undergoes slight modifications with a carbon fiber trim.
The added carbon-fiber hood cap supplements the wheel arches, creating faux air intakes, a detail highly sought after in G 63s in Vietnam, adding a more muscular appearance to the vehicle. The front end of the car is adorned with Brabus’s familiar LED headlights. Even minor details like the turn signal light frames are replaced with similar carbon fiber materials as the hood cap.
The car’s body is widened with enlarged front and rear wheel arches, integrating black-painted faux air intakes that serve as accents.
Below, small LED lights illuminate the door sills, making the G 63 AMG more prominent in the dark.
Similarly, the rear of the vehicle incorporates faux air intakes on both sides, with a less conspicuous black-painted panel in the middle. The spare tire cover is replaced with a carbon fiber variant bearing the raised Brabus logo. The new spoiler at the rear end of the car enhances the SUV’s sporty look.
The most striking feature is the Brixton Forged multi-spoke wheels in a matte black finish, sized at 23 inches. Behind them, the vibrant red brake calipers add to the overall contrasting style. The price tag for these wheels alone reaches around 500 million dong.
Differing from most G 63 users, the car owner chose an iPE Exhaust instead of an FI Exhaust. This exhaust system delivers a more forceful and powerful sound compared to the original, even surpassing the FI Exhaust from Taiwan. The market value of this exhaust system is approximately 200 million dong.
The car’s engine remains the twin-turbocharged V8, with a displacement of 4.0 liters, generating a power output of 577 horsepower and a torque of 850 Nm, combined with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 240 km/h.
The interior of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 adopts a similar color scheme to the exterior, with a dominant red tone and black accents. There are no additional modifications in the cabin, from the sports seats to the carbon fiber elements in the steering wheel, center console, door handles, and control panel.
The rear seats consist of three seating positions with foldable armrests, while two additional screens are attached to the back of the front seats for entertainment purposes. The car is equipped with standard features such as a premium Burmester sound system with 15 speakers and 590W output, an electric sunroof, 64-color ambient interior lighting, and more.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has long been one of the most famous off-road SUVs renowned for its exceptional off-road capabilities, an enduring icon from the German luxury car manufacturer. The G-Class was introduced for sale in 1979, and in 2002, the high-performance model named Mercedes AMG G 63 was officially launched.
The Mercedes-Benz G 63 is currently available in Vietnam with a price tag of 11.75 billion dong for the standard version and 12.6 billion dong for the G 63 Edition 55 variant. This model is favored by the elite and entertainment industry personalities.
