The pre-debut story of actress Honey Lee is recently re-examined.
Former Miss Korea-actress Honey Lee recently delivered her whereabouts by posting several photos on her SNS with the caption, “‘Time Made by Paintings’ Exhibition. The moments I spent on painting now remain as a painting, and I want to share it with my precious people. The time I spent on painting felt like going on an amazing journey to get away from reality and visit a different world.”
The released pictures show Honey Lee standing next to her own drawing with a happy expression. She then said, “I want to thank the people who let me know how wonderful and exciting it is to draw and paint, as well as for helping me dream and achieve all this. I completed the tiger painting that I drew during prenatal education and hung it where my baby can see it well.”
Honey Lee who has been active by starring in various works, such as movies “Extreme Job”, “Black Money”, “Killing Romance”, etc., once made headlines when she revealed that she spent her trainee days together with members of YG Entertainment’s girl group 2NE1.
Recalling the past, Honey Lee joined the audition to make her dream of becoming a singer come true and successfully passed it. She trained under YG Entertainment with 2NE1 Park Bom and Gong Minzy for about a year.
The actress shared, “After getting into graduate school, I decided to pursue what I really wanted to do, so I went to the audition”, adding “At that time, I woke up early in the morning, practiced dancing, attended graduate classes, then continued dancing in the afternoon and practiced until dawn. I only took a nap and repeated that routine.”
Known to be the daughter of a famous Gayageum (a traditional music instrumental) artist, Honey Lee confessed that she wanted to do her own thing. The actress confessed, “I didn’t want to be known only as someone’s daughter or younger sister”.
Later on, she decided to join Miss Korea at the recommendation of her mother during her idol training period, and it eventually became a turning point in her career.
