In a 2016 interview on The Bert Show, Justin Bieber shared that Beauty and a Beat is one of his least favorite songs.
Bieber said: “I never really liked ‘Beauty and a Beat’. It was popular music at the time but I was never really a big fan of that song“.
Nicki Minaj
On New Year’s Eve 2023, while performing at E11EVEN nightclub in Miami, Nicki Minaj started singing Starships and stops after a few seconds. According to media from the event, the female rapper revealed: “I don’t perform this song anymore. I don’t like it anymore“.
This isn’t the first time she’s spoken about her dislike of the hit from her second studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Previously in 2020, the female artist said she hated this song every time it played.
Madonna
Even though the song is one of Madonna’s biggest hits but Like A Virgin is not a song loved by the female artist herself.
In 2008, in an interview with New York radio station Z100 FM, she said: “I’m not sure I could sing Holiday or Like a Virgin again“. In 2015, Madonna also told Us Weekly that Material Girl is her least favorite song and she “never wants to hear it again”.
Charli XCX
In an October 2020 interview with Red Bull, Charli XCX said one song she regretted from the album Sucker 2014 is Break the Rules: “There’s only been one song in my life that I didn’t feel satisfied writing. That’s Break the Rules. All the other songs, I feel great about them“.
The female artist said she wrote Break the Rules while at the creative camp.
Katy Perry
Although Katy Perry may not be able to destroy her 2008 smash hit I Kissed a Girlbut she still thinks it contains some stereotypes that if given the chance, she would rewrite.
Perry said in a 2018 interview with Glamor: “If I had to rewrite that song, I’d probably edit it. Lyrically, it has a few stereotypes in it“.
