25-year-old actor Angus Cloud, who gained much love for his role as Fezco in “Euphoria,” has suddenly passed away.
On July 31st (local time), TMZ reported that “Euphoria” star Angus Cloud (25) was found dead at his home in Oakland. The Oakland Police and Fire Departments received a 911 call from Angus’s mother at 11:30 am that day.
Angus’s mother informed them that her son had no pulse and that there was a possibility of excessive drug use. Sadly, Angus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family and close sources revealed that after returning from Ireland, where he attended his late father’s funeral, Angus was struggling with impulsive choices and overcoming grief by spending time with family.
In a statement, Angus’s family said, “Today, with the heaviest hearts, we must bid farewell to a remarkable person. As an artist, friend, brother, and son, Angus was special to all of us in various ways. Last week, he said goodbye to his father and experienced profound pain from the loss. Now, knowing that Angus has reunited with his dearest friend, his father, is the only consolation.“
Continuing, they added, “Angus openly spoke about his battle with mental health. We hope his death serves as a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight in silence.”
Lastly, the family stated, “We want to remember Angus for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. As we are still processing this immense loss, we request privacy at this time.”
The family has not yet mentioned the exact cause of Angus’s death, but it is speculated to be related to the grief from his father’s passing.
On the other hand, Angus Cloud was born on July 10, 1998, in Oakland, California, and majored in production design at Oakland School For the Arts.
He was in the same class as Zendaya and made a strong impression playing the role of drug dealer Fezco in HBO’s drama “Euphoria” from 2019 to 2022.
Months before Angus Cloud’s tragic death, a man claiming to be his former talent manager detailed the “Euphoria” star’s alleged struggle with substance abuse.
Police in Oakland, Calif., responded to a Monday morning 911 call made by Cloud’s mother who reported a “possible overdose” and that her son did not have a pulse, according to TMZ.
Cloud was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 25.
The exact cause of the actor’s death has yet to be released.
In April, Diomi Cordero claimed to have worked as Cloud’s talent manager in 2021 after the two met at a rehab clinic where he claimed Cloud was a patient at the time.
While the since-deleted tweet detailed the duo’s falling out, Cordero claimed to have witnessed the actor’s struggle with an ongoing drug addiction after he was discharged from the rehab facility.
Cordero alleged that Cloud had relapsed after meeting the actor — who played the drug dealer Fezco in “Euphoria” — at his home for a July 4 barbecue in 2021.
“Upon entering his premises and attempting to greet him with a hug, it became immediately apparent that he had resumed substance abuse, a mere two days after completing his treatment,” Cordero claimed.
Cordero claimed that the “situation gradually deteriorated” over the next few months and said that by November 2021, Cloud had “evidently relinquished control of his addiction.”
Cloud’s alleged former manager also said that he had received a distressing phone call from the actor’s roommate around that time.
The roommate allegedly told Cordero that the “North Hollywood” star was struggling to breathe.
Cordero then claimed to have rushed over to Cloud’s home, where he administered Narcan and performed CPR.
“Regrettably, as he regained consciousness, Angus vomited onto my face,” he tweeted.
Following the alleged incident, Cordero claimed their working relationship ended.
