Stay tuned for more Miss Universe Philippines 2024 updates!
The moment the Top 5 candidates are decided at the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 tilt, it will be the question-and-answer (Q&A) portion that decides their fate. Perhaps the most grueling portion of the pageant, it is their final moment to show why they’re meant to win the crown.
The final part of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 tilt showed recently crowned titleholder Chelsea Manalo of Bulacan, Stacey Gabriel, Ahtisa Manalo, Tarah Valencia, and Christy McGarry answering their chosen questions.
Here’s how they performed below:
Chelsea Manalo of Bulacan, Miss Universe Philippines 2024
You are beautiful and confident. How would you use these qualities to empower others?
As a woman of color, I have always faced challenges in my life. I was told that beauty has standards. But for me, I have listened to always believe in my mother, to always believe in myself, and uphold the vows that I have. Because of these, I am already influencing a lot of women who are facing me right now. As a transformational woman, I have here 52 other delegates with me who have helped me to become the woman I am.
Stacey Gabriel of Cainta, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 first runner-up
Women have inspired you throughout your life. Now, tell us about how you inspired another woman.
You know, I’ve been told many times that I am too old to join a beauty pageant. But now I realize that pageants are a representation and a reflection of […] that very nation. And tonight, I am not only representing myself but also every Filipino woman who sees themselves in me. I hope to inspire every Filipino that just like Miss Universe, we too are limitless.
Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 second runner-up
Women learn from each other. What is the biggest lesson that you’ve learned from another woman?
My grandmother put me through school, and the biggest lesson I learned from her is to always be kind. She is someone who has a big heart and has taken care of me since I was a kid. And I do think my grandmother is someone that I can look I do. She is someone that is an embodiment of what a great woman is.
Tarah Valencia of Baguio, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 third runner-up
What is your breakthrough or big achievement? How did it improve you as a person?
To be in this prestigious pageant, Miss Universe Philippines 2024, is my greatest achievement. The Tarah before is someone who really limited herself when it came to her achievements. I stepped here on Miss Universe Philippines, and I see the transformation and improvement and how I was able to become the inspirational woman that I am now and that is somewhat something that I will be proud of after this journey.
Christi McGarry of Taguig, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 fourth runner-up
What is the hardest challenge you faced as a Filipino woman? What did you do to hurdle that challenge?
I think the biggest challenges that Filipinas face today are being limited. By still being shadowed by, unfortunately, men, who are in society. My platform and me standing here today, I can encourage women that you too can stand up. You can be strong. You can be powerful. You can own your own destiny like I plan to tonight.
