Vilma Santos expressed her approval of the idea of Kathryn Bernardo and Nadine Lustre starring in a remake of T-Bird at Ako.
Fans online have been suggesting that Kathryn and Nadine work together in a remake of the said movie.
T-Bird at Ako is a 1982 movie headlined by Vilma and Nora Aunor.
According to the movie’s IMBD, the film follows the story of “a sexy dancer who has been accused of homicide is defended by a female lawyer who tries to keep their relationship professional as the latter struggles with the confusion of thoughts and emotions brought about by her budding affections for the dancer.”
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Vilma was asked about her two cents on the idea of Kathryn and Nadine starring in a remake.
“Uy, heaven ‘yan! Heaven ‘yang team na ‘yan! Parehong magaling ‘yan!” she responded.
When asked if she is open to working again with Nora in the future on a project, the Star For All Seasons replied: “Yes, I have a script also na ipinadala na kaming dalawa ni Ate Guy. But, I dont want to sound mayabang pero hindi mo pa mapili, hindi naman marami pero may mga scripts ako dito.”
Vilma currently stars in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry When I Met You in Tokyo alongside Christopher de Leon.
The actress bagged the Best Actress award at the MMFF’s Gabi ng Parangal.
“Hindi ko po ine-expect ito. Ang adbokasiya lang po namin talaga when we did ‘When I Met You In Tokyo,’ it’s not even the Best Actress, Best Actor, we just wanted to do a simple love story sa edad po namin,” she said in her speech upon receiving the award.
She highlighted that their main goal was to encourage people to support MMFF.
“Ang adbokasiya po namin ay maging successful ang Metro Manila Film Festival and at the same time, mabalik po sana ‘yung mga tao sa sine, ‘yun po ang aming inasam-asam nung mapasama nitong Metro Manila Film Festival, ‘yung po ‘yung dream,” she said.
