Given her extensive time in the acting industry, Vina Morales has worked with a roster of leading men, and she said that actor-turned-politician Robin Padilla is her favorite among them all.
“Well, siguro sa sobrang dami na naming pelikula together, siguro kay Robin. Para na lang ano sa lahat. Mamaya kasi sabihin ko si Senator Bong [Revilla]. Tapos sasabihin naman ni Senator Jinggoy [Estrada] bakit naman si ano. So, kay Robin na lang,” she told Maricel Soriano in the latter’s new vlog episode.
Starring together in three movies, “Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum” (1991), “Miss na Miss Kita” (1992), and “‘Di Puwedeng Hindi Puwede” (1999), Morales remarked that she is thankful for the way the action star treated her during the days of their filming.
“Maasikaso sa set. Mabait naman talaga si Robin. Until now, we’re really good friends. Wala naman kaming naging problema sa shooting days namin. Thankful ako na marami kaming nagawang movies together,” she said.
(He was attentive on set. Robin is really kind. Until now, we’re really good friends. We didn’t have any problems during our shooting days. I am thankful that we have done many movies together.)
When asked what the audience liked about their partnership, the actress said, “Makikita mo ‘yung chemistry namin on camera. Siguro maraming kinikilig kapag napapanood kami together.”
(You can see our chemistry on camera. Maybe a lot of people get excited when they watch us together.)
In 2022, Morales also campaigned for Padilla when he vyed for a seat in the senate. Padilla, now a senator, is married to actress-host Mariel Rodriguez. While Morales is last to be rumored dating non-showbiz personality Andrew Kovalcin in 2023.
Morales also recalled her experience working with Senator Bong Revilla for “Sala sa Init, Sala sa Lamig,” Vic “Bossing” Sotto in “Lab En Kisses,” Rudy Fernandez for “‘Wag na ‘Wag Kang Lalayo,” Lito Lapid in “Ako’y Ibigin Mo Lalaking Matapang,” and Jinggoy Estrada for “Sagot Kita Mula Ulo Hanggang Paa.”
